Childbirth Education

The childbirth education class series is a comprehensive, interactive, and sociable progression of classes designed for mothers and their labor support person. It is an opportunity to get to know other expectant parents as well as an opportunity to practice and master your birthing skills.

• How To Know When You Are In Labor
• Timing Contractions and Kick Counts
• True Labor vs. Warm Up Contractions
• Role of the Support Person
• Pre-term Labor
• Birthing Options
• Relaxation Medications and Epidurals for Labor Pain Management
• Cesarean Sections
• Postpartum Care for Mom and Newborn
• Just for Dads
• And more!

Classes are held on Thursday evenings from 6:30-9:00 P.M. in the Tunnel Conference Room of Cuyuna Regional Medical Center and require pre-registration.

The $40.00 fee for the childbirth series includes class materials and breaks.

Mothers should wear comfortable clothing. An adult support person is encouraged to attend.
